The River Una

There is an amazing river, it has the best fishing I have ever done. This river is called the Unac. Pronounced "Unatz."t is in the town of Martin Brod, in Western Bosnia and Herzegovina. We pulled fish after fish out of this one hole. The fish are all at least 6-15 inches (with some exceptions). There were probably over two hundred fish. The fish were mostly rainbow trout with some brown trout. I  also caught a grayling.

We used multiple rigs ranging from nymphs to dry flies and streamers. These vary in size and shape, with different patterns and colors. But whether using a dry fly or streamer or a nymph I would definitely recommend a nymph. The one I used was black and gold. This fly has a gold bead weight and a black and gold finish.  But by far my favorite streamer is a dark brown body with a wide brown weight. We got these streamers from a local man named Damir. He is very friendly and nice. We bought them for a fee but it was very worth it. Overall I would fish and live here even if it meant missing out on a million dollar opportunity. This river is beautiful beyond comprehension.
