Day 1: We woke up around 6:30 a.m. then we had breakfast. I ate oatmeal with bananas and guava on top. After that we waited for the Jeep to pick us up. When it arrived we gave the guide some of our stuff, got in the deep and started driving to well I didn't really know where. It was a 40 minute drive to the trailhead so we started hiking. It was about an hour walk to Australia camp. The trail was mostly Stone steps uphill with some flat. We kept hiking for another hour till we got to another camp where we stopped to have tea and peanut butter on bread. The trail was still stone steps uphill with a little bit of flat and a little bit of down. stopped at another camp where we played on a swing for a little bit and Hiking for another hour and a half till we reached our final destination for the day called lovely Hill camp. Then we had dinner. I had fried rice. when we were done we went outside and played 500 with a hacky sack. and then while we were playing 500 a cloud came in right where we were playing so I got colder and we couldn't see that well. So after that we just decided to go to sleep.
Day 2: The next morning we woke up headed to breakfast. For breakfast I had porridge. They also had eggs and bread. After that we started hiking to the Forest Camp. It was a 2-hour walk there from lovely hill camp. When we got there we had tea and a Dal-bhat. Dal-bhat is a traditional Nepalese dish that has rice, lentil soup, spicy cracker, spicy veggies either pork, chicken buff or vegetable curry. Then we decided to walk to Low Camp to meet some of our friends. It wasn't really a two hour walk to get to Low Camp. While we were walking up there we were so high that eventually we were literally Walking In The Clouds. when we were in the clouds it got a lot colder and we couldn't see that well cuz it was really misty. Also the air got a lot more moist. so when we got to low camp we ordered some tea and got under a bunch of blankets then our friends came over to warm up too. and we just did that so it was time for dinner. For dinner I had curry with rice. It was really good. After dinner we played Uno and Monopoly Deal, then we went to bed.
Day 3: When we woke up it was a really clear view outside there were no more clouds so I put on my shoes and gloves and and went to go see the view of the mountains with everyone else it was an amazingly clear view of the amount is especially fishtail I've never seen such an amazing sight in my life after looking at the mountains for a while I got cold and went inside to eat breakfast and warm up. Then we decided to go to the middle camp which was an hour hike from the low camp and then see if he wanted to go all the way up to the high camp. So we started hiking with our friends to middle camp which was still a stone step with a little bit of flat and a little bit of down trail. When we got there my legs hurt from all the steps uphill so we took a break at middle camp where we found a bunch of snow to play with and it got really cold. Also at middle camp there would have been an amazing view but it was getting cloudy so you can see it. After our break we decided to go up to high camp but her friends decided to go back down to low camp and take a fast way out. so we said our goodbye for now and started hiking up to highcamp. After about 20 minutes of hiking we got above Treeline we could see a lot more after middle camp it was two and a half hour walk to high camp but there were a lot of other small tea houses along the way so you could stop and have a break whenever you wanted but we just kept hiking and only took a few breaks also we kept walking into clouds and it got really hard to see so he had to stay close together. When we finally got to high camp all we did was get under a bunch of blankets in order tea and hot cocoa. About an hour after we got there it started hailing really hard so we just watched the hail until dinner time for dinner I had potato curry with chapati bread after we eat dinner and watch the hail a little more . then when the hill stopped we decided to go to bed
Day 4:The next morning we all woke up and got out of bed at Sunrise so we could see the sunrise on the mountains. It was really cold and we had to stand in the fresh hail from last night but the view was worth it. We could see fishtale and 100th tallest mountain in the world. At high camp the elevation was 3,600 m
(10,800ft) . After we watched the sunrise we had breakfast and decided to hike down to Forest Camp. That day after breakfast we started hiking down to Forest camp. We stopped for a short break at middle camp and then kept hiking down to low camp. At low camp we had tea and lunch before we started hiking down the Forest Camp. It was a 2 hour hike from low camp to Forest Camp. When we got to Forrest camp we started playing volleyball but then it started raining so we had to go inside and wait till dinner. For dinner I had potato curry and rice. After dinner we played cards and a board game called Cosmic wimp out. After that we decided to go to bed.
Day 5: The next morning when I woke up we were outside for a little bit before breakfast watching the tiny bits of the mountains we could see then we had breakfast. After breakfast we went playing volleyball for an hour and then we decided to hike down a shorter way to a village where we could take a jeep out. so I decided to start hiking down. On the way down to the Village we had to cross a couple of small streams and bridges. After about 2 hours of hiking downhill we finally got to the Village or jeep was waiting for us so I got in the Jeep and drove back to pop rock.
Nepal Poem
1
Adorable little puppy eyes looking at me.
Soft and fluffy winter coat.
The sound of its nose sniffing my face.
Its soft wet tongue licking my hands.
Standing on cold stone steps.
Crawling through my legs.
Super excited to have someone to play with.
2
The rain slowly drizzling outside.
Sitting by the nice warm stove.
Watching the rain fall outside.
Warming my feet by the fire.
Wall people were drying their clothes.
Smelling the food cooking in the kitchen.
Playing cards at the long dining tables.
The loud noise as it turned into hail.
Off and on it rained and hailed outside.
3
Slowly making our way.
Walking up hill, down hill and flat.
Always using our hiking sticks.
The forest is full of rhododendrons and ferns.
Making sure not to step in puddles.
Crossing high and long hanging bridges in the sky.
The sound of the leaves rustling in the air and crunching beneath our feet.

Ruggles, you sure captured the stone steps, stone steps, stone steps of your trek. I'm sure the walking sticks helped with all that climbing up and down. How fun it must have been to see a cloud coming toward you. And then to feel the temperature change and not be able to see. What an image - Walking in the Clouds. Thank goodness for Tea Houses along the way. I'm sure it was always an incentive to keep going once you saw one ahead - up, up, up a little further.
I liked seeing the picture of the friends you were trekking with. I'm sure it was fun to have other kids to play games and vollyball with. With n…
